Lucas Fox Agenda: Unmissable Events in Ibiza, Autumn 2014
Atzaró Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
One of the most striking elements of Atzaró is the synergy between the traditional Ibicenco architecture, and more Eastern influences. Originally a farm with 300-year-old orange groves, partners Victor Guach and Philip Gonda transformed the finca into a 5 star agroturismo.
The brand has organised many surprises to mark their 10th anniversary this year following 10 fashion shows held over the summer, including art exhibitions, special parties and most importantly, their first ever year-round opening. The agroturismo will remain open throughout the white isle’s gentle winter months, hosting winter weddings, Christmas and even New Year Eve at Atzaró!
Bambuddha’s Fetish Halloween Dinner Ball, 2014
What: A flamboyant pagan celebration of Halloween to close the summer season
When: 31 October 20.30
Where: Bambuddha in Santa Eulalia
Bambuddha goes bump in the night as the host of the most spectacular Halloween event on the island. Each year, Ibiza’s permanent residents get together to celebrate the end of the season in style. The Balinese restaurant’s three course menu and lavish production does not disappoint. Don your ghoulish garb and get down to the white isle’s dark underworld for this infamous and legendary soirée.
NB: Costume is mandatory, with face make-up artists available on the night. Be sure to reserve as tickets sell like hot cakes.
The Babylon Beach Family Friendly Halloween Party
What: A fun sunny party for all the family – a child-friendly alternative to the above, or if you’re feeling brave – attend both!
When: 31 October 15.30
Where: Babylon Beach, Santa Eulalia
The wonderful Babylon Beach is putting on a fabulous afternoon for all the family. First, install the kids at their gorgeous Babylonitos Kid’s play area, which has been re-vamped for the spooky occasion. Entertainment will include the infamous mummy wrap, creepy crafts and good old-fashioned bobbing for apples! There will be a family-friendly cinema playing Halloween classics and even an appearance from Cachirulo the Clown (what could be scarier than that!?). Events for pre-teens begin slightly later.
Once the children are suitably ensconced, grown-ups will be welcomed at the Chiringuito for delicious food, cocktails and wonderful company!
Also unmissable this season, are Babylon Beach’s “Sunny Sunday Roasts”. A tasty traditional roast with all the trimmings + live music under the sun = perfection!
Once Upon a Time Market
What: A popular market with DJs and delicious food and cocktails
When: 26 October from 13.00 til late
Where: Boutique Hostal Salinas
This hugely popular Sunday market returns to Boutique Hostal Salinas, boasting a spectacular array of stalls and exhibitors showcasing the best of Ibiza including new and established designers, creative vintage and handmade wares. Performers and DJs are set to entertain beneath the glorious sunshine, accompanied by scrumptious food and delectable cocktails, making it the perfect weekend affair for all the family (children are very welcome!). Don’t miss the sunset, which is when the party really begins as “Once Upon a Time by Night” with resident DJ, Daisy Heartbreaker.
Sluiz Presents Live Music Sundays
What: The place to be on an Autumnal Sunday afternoon in Ibiza – live music, aperitif and temptingly eccentric homeware pieces
When: 2 November 16.00
Where: Sluiz Santa Gertrudis, an eclectic Dutch-owned space that sells everything from statement homeware to exclusive fashion, and as such is not to be missed
This expansive shop has become one of Europe’s best-loved Concept Stores and they have recently opened a second venue. This live-music Sunday is the first in their Autumn/Winter season – head down for a sun-downer and some saxphone!
